Planning and Scheduling Supervisor

Assignments focused on providing nuclear engineering and construction scheduling of new plants and/or

maintenance/outage at existing plants. Projects supported were Detroit Edison’s Fermi 2 maintenance;

Dominion’s North Anna 3 plant; Mitsubishi standard nuclear plant design and Duke Energy’s Crystal

River 3 Containment Restoration project.

5/09 – 9/11 Modules Program Lead Scheduler

Provided procurement planning and scheduling support to the Shaw AP1000 Modules Procurement

Team for 200 modules in 4 nuclear units [approximately 10,000 activities]. Responsibilities included:

Development and management of the 800 Shaw AP1000 module procurement logic models and all EPC

and summary schedule interfaces in order to deliver modules by the construction required date.

United Research Services [URS] - Washington Division – Boise, ID

3/09 – 5/09 Construction Management/Project Controls Specialist IV

Supported the Alliant Techsystems, Inc. [ATK] Lake City Army Ammunition Plant’s Modernization

Program. Responsibilities included Building #3 Space Balance schedule development and integration

with Operations and with 20mm, 50 caliber, 7.62mm and 5.56mm cartridge product line Modernization

Teams’ schedules. Additional duties included weekly P6 schedule updates and management of weekly

Earned Value Management reports and graphs.

2/07 – 2/09 Construction Management/Plan & Schedule Analyst III

Provided project controls in the construction of the largest single kiln (12k t/d) cement plant in the USA

on the Holcim Ste. Genevieve site where construction management was a joint venture between

Washington Group International and J.S. Alberici, Inc. [WGA].

Span of control encompassed over 45% of direct construction labor budget [4M+ hrs that included the

following areas: limestone feed and blending, raw mills, raw cement transport/storage, kiln feed,

preheating, kiln, coal mills, fuel oil, air quality control and primary compressed air.

• Managed portions of the resource loaded and balanced Master Schedule using P3.

• Controlled WGA self perform work and subcontractors by oversight of detailed schedules; 3 week

forecast schedules and the use of earned value based trend charts.

• Integrated subcontract weekly progress data into master schedule.

• Audited progress on regular basis by job walks and with field supervision or client.

• Provided input of the above areas into weekly and monthly project status and performance reports.

Provided the following services for the construction of a process building [$58M CAN] at a Wyeth

Pharmaceuticals manufacturing site in Brandon MB, Canada as a Lead Project Controls consultant:

• A “Cold Eyes” review and assessment report to Wyeth management of current construction

management processes using a WGI project review questionnaire.

• Developed a Wyeth code of account based cost report database and a bid package based cost

report database using Excel.

• Prepared and released monthly project status reports.

1/05 – 10/06 Construction Administration/Plan & Schedule Analyst III

Provided Construction Administration services on facilities management and construction projects for the

General Motors Worldwide Facilities Group at a Powertrain component manufacturing plant in Bay City,

MI. Services included

• Scope management, estimating and resource based scheduling using P3/P4 e/c for over 100

projects that generated a budget of over $2.0M labor in 2005.

• Weekly and monthly financial analysis and reporting to local Construction staff, Department manager

and GM Corporate staff.

• Weekly Client/Construction staff meetings to communicate project status and issues.

• Construction Manager’s representative in various plant meetings.

• As a core member of GM’s Corporate Worldwide Facilities Group’s P3/4 e/c implementation team,

participated in implementing GM specific P3/4 e/c application and development of a P3/4 e/c training

manual.

Provided scheduling of Facilities Management and construction projects at a General Motors plant

through a contract with Washington Group International.

• Services included scope management, estimating and resource based scheduling using P3/P4 e/c

and financial analysis and reporting for over 75 active projects ranging from $5K to $400K for labor.

• Conducted weekly Client/Construction meetings to communicate status and issues.

8/02 – 12/02 Deputy Team Leader/Logistics Analyst

As part of the Homeland Security Initiative, supported the Transportation Security Administration [TSA]

and Lockheed Martin on the Strategic Airport Security Rollout project.

• Assisted in implementing, organizing and operating a 7x24 Operations Center at 3 airports that

supported over 2100 TSA screeners with Trainee Shift Scheduling, Training Status, Certification

Scheduling and Uniform Distribution.

ELECTRONIC DATA SYSTEMS - Plano, TX

7/85 - 3/02 Project Manager/Senior Project Planner

Provided project management or consulting on system development and automotive vehicle engineering

and facilities construction projects for Electronic Data Systems and their clients: Dow Chemical, General

Motors and Consumers Energy.

Significant accomplishments included:

• Development and maintenance of a resource loaded master schedule for the implementation of

Voice over IP for over 700 Dow Chemical sites.

• Provided project controls on a major GM Facilities Engineering project that began six months behind

schedule and ended up six weeks ahead of schedule using quantified WBS, progress reporting and

trend charts techniques.

• Project Management to GM's Lansing Automotive Division to implement the Technical Memory

System and the Corporate Product Information Management System.

• Provided engineering and construction WBS, schedule management, estimating, cost integration

and earned value based performance measurement for refinery projects for Champlin Petroleum,

and Union 76.

• Provided earned value based project controls for the entire life cycle of the National Iranian Oil

Company refinery project. Also developed a unique method of “quantified lean construction” weekly

work planning that enabled my portion of the refinery project to come in ahead of schedule and

under budget.
